We need to take a close look at all trade agreements. Ohio has lost more than 195,000 manufacturing jobs since 2001. Ohio ranks among the top states in the U.S. for the number of companies that have outsourced jobs and the number of companies that have laid off workers due to unfair trade agreements. Those trade agreements in which the American worker cannot compete on a level playing field should be scrapped!

We must start protecting our borders, both north and south.  Illegal immigration must be stopped.  We need to enforce current laws and create new ones that punish companies up to and including jail time for CEOs who continue to hire them.

I believe that the Bush administrations SPP (Security and Prosperity Partnership) between the United States, Canada and Mexico, could be the start of the North American Union.

I am in favor of HR 676, the expanded Medicare bill in sub committee in the House of Representatives.  This is a more functional "single payer" method of paying for medical services while leaving the medical system itself completely alone and intact.

This will eliminate the hundreds of complicated and redundant payment plans currently imposed on the system by private "for profit" health insurance.

I want to create a new energy initiative  that will help lead the nation to energy independence. We need a "Manhattan Project" like program that will bring together the best minds in the country to work on this.  If we would invest just a fraction of what we spend on the War in Iraq ($12 Billion a month) we could have energy independence within 10 years.
